War Memorial Building

On this page appears a plan of the new War Memorial building now-being erected at the corner of Childers Road and Bright Street.

The building is shaped like a letter "T", with the hall, foyer, and stage in one part (above) and the supper room, kitchen, lounges, billiard room, and R.S.A. offices in the other (below).

The broken line indicates where the two parts of the "T" join.

Architects for the building are Messrs Glengarry, Glengarry, and Corson, and the builder is Mr R. H. Taylor.

Plan is of ground floor only. The auditorium section of plan above measures 138ft × 58ft. The lounge section at left measures 110ft × 45ft. Auditorium is expected to seat about 600 people.
