First Life Member

At a most enjoyable social, members of the McGlashen Swimming Club were presented with various awards, the highlight being the presentation of life membership to Mr Wally Irving. He has been a member of the club since its inception and has rendered sterling service in all spheres.

Centre Progresses

Mr Irving (left), who also received a Service Award, is presented with the life membership badge by club president Bill Scott.

Centre president Colin Hacche made the other presentations. He is pictured with Mrs Bev Powell, who also received a Service A ward.

N.S.A.S.A. Voluntary Swim Service Awards were presented to Alison Whiteley, Jocelyn Higgins, Margaret Croskery, Shona Twisleton, Gail Thorstenson and June Dyer.
Absent—Jan McCullough, Lorraine Parkinson and William Broughton.

Work is progressing well on the new I.H.C. Donnelly Training Centre in Temple St. The opening of the building is planned for September. 1.
