Mangatu Ufos Win Talent Questa

The Mangatu UFOs were the very popular win of this year's Radio Gisborne Star Quest. Sponsored by the Eastern and Central Savings Bank, with prizes. from Ellis and Bull, the Talent Quest drew a packed audience to the finals in the War Memorial Hall.

Wairoa's Ed Nelson took second place in the contest.

Third placegetters were Georgina and Geraldine Tuapawa of Te Karaka.

The judges, who had a very hard time marking the placegetters, were, from left, Graham Bell, Barrie Ellis and David England.
