For the 2nd Time
For the second time in succession Frank Hale's Gisborne team took the Burton Cup from the same Papatoetoe four they defeated last year. After being well down early in the game the local team came on strongly to tie at the 22nd end. After this they surged away to win the coveted trophy by 28 to 22.
