Pony Trials

Entrants from the various branches of the Gisborne and Wairoa Pony Clubs took part in the Area Trials, for selection for the team to compete in the New Zealand Champion-ships, in May, Held at the Showgrounds, the trials included dressage, and cross-country and show jumping.

In the senior section (17 and under 21) to compete for the A1 cup, Christine Hyland on 'Golden Slippers' was first.

Pam Mossman, riding 'Ava Peak,' took second place.

Jackie Nicholls, on 'Paddy,' was third

Wendy Sherriff, on 'Loupy Lou,' is reserve. These four make up the first half of the team
