Carnival Time in Wairoa

Wairoa's annual Carnival Week got away to a tremendous start on January 27. Popular events started off with marching championships, water skiing and, in the late afternoon, the parade of floats. The rest of the week was taken up with a many and varied programme which provided fun for all.

Gemmells of Wairoa Ltd took the prize for the Best Decorated Float.
