Fillip for Cricket

A boost for cricket in the Gisborne district was given when the N.Z. Rothmans Under-23 Tournament was held at the Harry Barker Reserve, from February 5 to 10.

Teams from Auckland, Central Districts, Canterbury, Wellington, Otago and Northern Districts took part, with Canterbury emerging the winners with final points of 35, seven points ahead of the runners-up, Wellington.
