Four Generations
These four Labrador bitches actually constitute four generations and are, from left, Jan (Adrien-ne of Araroa), great-grandmother, Clair (Burnley Clair), grandmother, Tosca (Burnley Evening Star), mother, and Fern (Chocolate Lass of Manuwai), daughter. The ladies' colours are also unusual in that they are all different. Jan is cream, Clair is black, Tosca is gold and Fern is the only chocolate bitch in New Zealand. The dogs were all bred at Cam and Shirley Burnside's kennels at Hexton.
