Mrs John Faras, formerly Miss Bobbie Scott, of Gisborne, who has been appointed as dancing adjudicator at the Wellington Competitions Festival in August. With her husband, Mrs Faras has been living in Australia for some five years gaining experience as hoteliers. They are now returning to New Zealand to take over a leading Auckland hotel.

Mr and Mrs H. Nicoll, who are leaving Gisborne shortly to reside in Palmerston North, where Mr Nicoll will continue his association with the firm of Odlins Ltd. Their departure will rob the Boy Scout and Girl Guide movement in Gisborne of two of its keenest workers. Mr Nicoll has been a scoutmaster for many years, and since 1944 has been district secretary of the local Boy Scout Association. Mrs Nicoll has been a girl guide since her youth. More recently she nas been captain of the Turanganui Company, and was recently appointed District Secretary. In 1950 she took a leading role in the formation of a Rangers Company here.

Mr W. M. Jenkins, town clerk of Gisborne, whose resignation from that office took effect as from March 31. Mr Jenkins has been town clerk for the past 23 years, and has in all been associated with the council for 38 years. He joined the staff in 1918 and was appointed town clerk in 1933. He was awarded the M.B.E. in 1946 for outstanding services to patriotic causes during World WarII.
Mr Jenkins' successor will be Mr W. Hudson, town clerk at Pukekohe.

The Rev. C. Stanley Bull, A.C.T., Th. L., who was recently appointed vicar of the parish of Waerenga-a-Hika. He was formerly vicar-general of Polynesia and sub-dean of St. Luke's Cathedral in Siota.
