Our cover this month is graced by attractive Maxine Francois. Maxine, who is a salesgirl with Common Shelton & Co., is the daughter of Mr and Mrs E. M. Francois, Queens Road.

Back Cover. The elegant lines and proportions of the downtown Masonic Hotel are really not appreciated unless viewed from the north end of Lowe Street. The three-storey hotel has long been part of the Gisborne scene and in recent years has undergone an extensive interior modernisation programme.
