Rally Visitor

Andrew Cowan, eventual winner of the 1972 Heatway Car Rally, paid a visit to Gisborne to meet N.Z. Motor Corporation people, a couple of weeks before the rally took place. He was accompanied by Angus Hislop, who wound up in fourth place in the rally. Both men drove Mini Clubman GT's in the rally, being backed by the corporation. Andrew (right) and Angus (centre) are pictured with Gisborne branch manager George Morrison, at the N.Z. Motor Corporation premises in Grey Street.
