St George Honoured
The Scouting movement's patron Saint, St George, was honoured on his day, April 23, with a sunrise parade held at the totem pole in Alfred Cox Park. A large group of Scouts, Venturers and Cubs gathered for the short, but impressive, ceremony.
Cubs re-affirming their promise. From left, at back, are Mrs Marj Sweeney (East Coast district Cub leader), Miss June McGregor (assistant area Cub leader), Mr Ed Sweeney (East Coast district commissioner), and Mr J. R. Stevens (zone commissioner).
