Forty-Six Years' Service
Retiring after 46 years' service with Ormonds Motors is Mr Wally Moore. He joined the firm in 1926, working his way up through the company to a directorship, at the time of his retirement. The management and staff of Ormonds Motors combined to give the Moores a royal, farewell buffet dinner on The Quarter Deck, at the San-down Park Hotel. During the evening the Moores were presented with a very attractive portable TV set as a parting gift.
Pictured after the presentation are, from left, Mr John Nicholls (managing director), Mrs G. A. Nicholls (wife of the late managing director, Mr Geo. Nicholls), and Mr and Mrs Moore.
