Big Buildings
Two big building projects in the offing are pictured here.
Tenders for the new Post Office have been let, and building is to commence soon. This model of the new office, which will front Grey Street, is viewed from the Palmerston Road corner.
These are the line drawings of Stage Three of the new Gisborne Hospital, although it will be some years yet before the building will be a reality. Stage One (laundry) and Stage Two (maternity) have already been completed. This view is from the South West, with the laundry and maternity units at back, Ormond Road being out of sight to the right.
