President'S Visit

Members of the Midway branch of the Anz Bank and the I.H.C. start on the count of funds raised in the recent I.H.C. appeal. By the end of the day more than $5000 was totalled, a grand effort from the people of Gisborne.

The New Zealand president of the Associated Chamber of Commerce paid a visit to Gisborne, recently. He met members of the Gisborne branch on February 29, and addressed them. He is pictured here with vice-presidents Eric Adye (left) and Colin Bell (right).

Mr W. E. B. Tucker, who is pictured with his wife, daughter Sandra, and sons Graeme (back) and Wayne, has left Wellington to take up his position in London as the Senior Trade Commissioner for New Zealand. Mr Tucker, who was born in Wairoa and is an ex-student of the Gisborne High School, is the son of Mrs K. Torrie, 24 Kingsley Street.
