The first social gathering for the Old Folk's Association for 1972 proved a very enjoyable occasion. Birthday honours from over the recess period were shared by eight happy people. Members of the Junior Astronomical Society paid a visit to Napier recently. Although travelling by railcar, their minds were on the stars, as the main objective of the Napier visit was to see the planetarium. However, they didn't spend all their time in outer space, as a visit to the Napier speed-way was also on the agenda.
