Mr Seeats, who commenced at the old "Gold Top" Brewery in 1938, was branch accountant at the time of the closure of the brewery in 1966. He subsequently transferred to Leopard Brewery Ltd, his present position.

Mr Edward Boy Keelan is now a fully qualified traffice officer in Wellington, He is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs Edward Keelan of R.D.I, Ruatoria.

Traffic Officer Banks of the Ministry of Transport is in the process of organising school patrols for 1972. At each school in the city children are enrolled and, after a training period, selections are made for the patrols. Mr Paul Seeats, area supervisor for Leopard Brewery Ltd, in this district, was pest of honour recently at a function in Hastings where he was presented with a gold watch as a long service award on behalf of both New Zealand Breweries Ltd and Leopard Brewery Ltd, by Mr C. S. Hogg, chairman of directors of the latter firm.

A cheque for $400, the proceeds from the Young Christian Students' recent "Starve-In," was handed over to the chairman of the local branch of CORSO, Mr Ian Robinson. From left are Paul Henderson and Brenda Hall (president and vice-president respectively of Y.C.S.), Mr Robinson and Father Vercoe, the club's chaplain. The money is to help refugees in East Pakistan.
