Lytton Road Bridge

Early last month, Gisborne City Council's plan to build three new bridges in the city got under way with the driving of the first pile for the new Lytton Read bridge. Altogether 52 piles are to be driven, each 70 feet in length. Ceremony of driving the first pile was watched by the Mayor, Mr Barker, the city engineer, Mr Sanderson, and a member of the works committee, Mr W. Harnett
