Girls on Parade

As usual, the East Coast (N.I.) Marching Championships, held at Childers Road Reserve last month, provided a colourful spectacle, although the general standard of marching appeared to be lower, and public interest was not high. For those who did attend, the performance of the Opotiki Caledonian team was a highlight which drew prolonged applause. They marched with a precision and unity which would bear comparison with anything seen at national contests.
