From Mr R. Andrew, de Lautour Road, come these Middle East World War II pics.
From Wallie Ingram, now in Auckland, we have this pic of the Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club ball orchestra of 1925. Every member of the orchestra was a member of the club and dances were the "in" thing in those days. The front row consists of Fred Truman, Percy Johnson, Harry Martin, John Fraser and "Ginner" Shaw. On the vibes at left is George File.
Also from Wallie Ingram is this shot of the Turanganui River cut being undertaken in the harbour diversion scheme — way back!
