Wig-In Spectacular
A full house greeted the Poverty Bay Master Ladies' Hairdressers' Association's Wig-In Spectacular which was held in the luxury surroundings of the Sandown Park Motor Hotel.
Spectacular hairstyles, as well as sophisticated day and evening styles incorporating wigs, wiglets and falls, created much interest for the audience.

Keitha MacDougall modelled this Golden Aqua. An aqua rinse set the tone for the style which was enhanced with gold.
Scheherezade was worn by Louise Samuels, an Eastern theme, naturally.
Liesje Bartie's glamorous style was called "Gold Goddess." The three models are shown below in their evening dresses also.

The day and evening versions of the New Zealand Coiffure Line 71 were released in Gisborne for the first time at the Spectacular.
Modelling the evening version of the style was Jacquie Stubbs who wore this very glamorous silver hot pants and evening coat outfit, especially imported from Auckland for the occasion
