Many areas up and down the East Coast are devoted to maize cultivation. From Mr John Paea we have this pic of part of the 300 acre crop being harvested on Paeroa Station out of Tolaga Bay. Operating the harvester is driver Mr Buddy Keelan.

This fleet of four Peugeot 404 Pickups was taken over by the East Coast Pest Destruction Board from Bloggs Ltd recently. Mr Dave Dodds, manager of the Gisborne area, is seen with Bloggs' salesman, Mr Bert Jennings (right). The Pest Control Board operates over an area of 4.5 million acres, which is quite an area when you come to think of it!
