40 Years in the Country

It is 40 years since a branch of the C. W. I. was formed at Rakauroa, south of Matawai, so a birthday celebration was certainly in order.

The C. W. I. really means something to women in the isolated back country areas. Their meetings give them the opportunity to make the social contacts so necessary in the country and so easily taken for granted in the city.
