Modern Building Houses Latest in Broadcasting Equipment

New Local Radio Station Officially Opened

Gisborne's new radio broadcasting station, on the corner of Childers Road and Grey Street, was officially opened by the chairman of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, Major-General W. S. McKinnon, on March 27.

A large number of guests attended the function. After Major-General McKinnon declared the building open they were shown through the new studios. Then followed a buffet dinner which was held in the Archery Club Hall.
