Te Hapara Retains M.C.C. Bat

The Mangapapa school team proved unsuccessful in their challenge against the Te Hapara school team for the M.C.C. Bat.

The bat was donated for competition between Gisborne schools after the M.C.C. tour of 1935.

Final scores in this, the latest challenge, read as follows: Mangapapa, first innings, all out for seven. Te Hapara made 63. In their second innings Mangapapa improved considerably but were all out for 54.
