New Ball Introduced with Style

The introduction of Spalding's new Marilyn Smith golf ball to Gisborne's lady golfers was done with style recently.

Through the auspices of Guy and Dunsmore Sports, and Gollin and Co. (Spalding's N. Z. representatives), a most successful tournament was held on the P.B. golf course.

So keen was the interest in the event that the field had to be limited to 136. The intense interest was understandable. A new set of golf clubs was available for any player holing-in-one with a Marilyn Smith golf ball. Even though nobody clicked, the array of trophies for winners of various sections in the divisions was fantastic.
