Say One For Me
"A New People For A New World" was the theme for the World Day of Prayer which was observed in Gisborne on Friday, 5 March.
An interdenominational service was conducted and despite the inclement weather a large crowd attended.
Past the congregation the choir can be seen singing one of the hymns.
Those leading the service and representing the various denominations were, from left, Mesdames M. Arnold (Apostolic), P. Fenn (Roman Catholic), E. Oates (Baptist), E. Graham (Presbyterian), and I. McCoy (Manga-papa Union).
