At least that's what Persia always brings to mind, and these pedigree Persian cats, bred by Mrs Lorraine Botharnley, 18 Steed Avenue, certainly look the part.

Mrs Bothamley has been breeding the cats for not yet a year but her Strathleven Silver Pearl took five firsts, four seconds and one third, the Breeders' Award of Merit, and Best Any Other Colour Kitten in the show at the recent Havelock North Cat Show. This was the first show for both cat and owner!
One of the kittens, bought by young Kim Steed (Buffy by nickname) also took two firsts, four seconds and four thirds in the same show.
