Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head...

Most every Friday or so it would seem, believe it or not!

Townspeople averaged a wet shopping day every second Friday last year (1970). And up to March 19 this year they have had 75% wet Fridays on which to do their store chores.

A breakdown of figures from the Meteorological Office shows 26 Fridays out of 52 in 1970 as having rain. January, 2 Fridays; February 1, March 2, April 1, May 4, June 2, July 1, August 4, September 3, October 3, November 3, December 1.

But look at this year! January 4, February 3, March 2.

No wonder we haven't had our usual summer. This year we have had 13.26 inches of our annual average of 39.08 inches-a third already-and we haven't even started on winter yet!
