Seen at Darton Field

Two unusual cargoes attracted the camera's eye to Darton Field recently.

Two days later, Gisborne's wellknown Hill Billies were discovered boarding a plane for an entertainment engagement in Auckland, where they were scheduled to brighten up the lighter side of the Four Square Stores annual conference.

Pedigree Rams arriving ...

A consignment of 60 flock Romney rams from the property of the estate of D. Robinson, Gore, being unloaded at Gisborne in the pink of condition after a flight from Dunedin. They were bound for a station 40 miles inland from Tolaga Bay. They were flown up by two Dakotas of the N.A.C. freighter fleet, and the whole trip from Gore to Tolaga took only about 12 hours.
