Readers who once lived in Gisborne, but now are far, far away, report that nothing brings back memories more acutely than pictures of the city's main street.

For them, then, we reproduce a couple of everyday scenes in Gladstone Road. One is taken from the Grey Street corner, and the other from the verandah of the Regent Buildings.
