The Ballinger Belt Man

×

Gerald Fuller, 573 Aberdeen Road, watchmaker and rifleman, distinguished himself by taking the top national rifle shooting title, the Ballinger Belt, at Trentham this month. Gerald, a member of the Gisborne Rifle Club, finished with a total of 526 points out of a possible 550, beating the favourite, "Buster" Sutherland by one point. Wearing the belt and holding his comparatively new rifle, Gerald is pictured with the trophies he won. From left, in his right hand the Bisley trophy for the overseas aggregate, the Collins Memorial cup for the grand aggregate, the B.S.A. challenge cup for the Trentham aggregate, and the Ross Belt for the Masefield aggregate. Gerald gets to keep the three gold medals in front which go to the New Zealand champ, and for the grand aggregate, and the Masefield aggregate. The cutlery is the Rothman's sponsors prize. Congratulations Gerald on magni-ficent shooting!
