Following the election of the new president, new officers in the club are:

The Turanga Lions Club officially presented their new ambulance to St. John recently in the grounds of Holy Trinity Church. It was here that the ambulance was dedicated by Archdeacon A. H.. R. The new president of the Gisborne Lions Club was installed recently. He is Lion Barrie Ellis who replaces Trevor Wynne-Parke, the Wynne-Parke's having been transferred to Eltham. In front Lion Barrie Ellis and Lady Lion Annette. At back Lion Noel Wilson (past deputy district governor), who conducted the installation, and Lady Lion Mrs Wilson, Lady Lion Zoe Wynne-Parke and Lion Trevor Wynne-Parke.
