The Post Office Savings Bank staged an imposing display in their building for Savings Week, Pictured with the pot of "gold", which can be got by saving in the "rainbow" bank, are Savings Bank staff members Garry Dixon, Christine Findsen, Lynne Holmberg and Margaret Walsh.

Windswept Rosalyn Wilson and Lorraine Bull had a tough time keeping tabs on the runners at the Gisborne Intermediate school steeplechase. However, they did cope!

Mrs Eriti Collier is pictured in the beautiful garden of her home at 1022 Aberdeen Road with the Gisborne Garden Centre Challenge Cup. Mrs Collier won the cup last year in the Cook Festival garden competition, and this competition is now to be conducted annually by the Horticultural Society. Judging of the gardens will take place towards the middle of November.
