Enchanting Debutantes

Twenty enchanting debutantes made their curtsey to Bishop M. Bennett, and Mrs Bennett, at the Turanga Pastorate Ball, Held in the Manutuke Hall, beautifully decorated for the occasion, the event attracted a large crowd of dancers.

Responsible for training the girls for their debuts, and debut dance, was Mrs Phyllis Rickard.

Tui Ratapu presented the sprays to the guests of honour.

The girls formed a mass cross curtsey at the end of their dance.

Mr Darcy Ria announced the debutantes who are pictured on the following pages.
