In our last issue we printed this picture of the debris dam erected in Titirangi Park by members of the Te Hapara Venturers as part of their Conservation Week exercise. This was just before the start of the heavy rains at the end of July.

One week after the structure had been completed, enough material had been eroded from further up the gully to completely fill the dam.

Six Te Hapara Venturers recently gained certificates from the Transport Department. These were for passing the traffic improvement course run by the Traffic Department in driver education. From left: Allan Hughes, Kevin Russell, Tony Bartlett, Mark Sceats, Murray Friar and Ross Eraser.
