The Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Savings Bank sponsored a three-way quiz contest between Gisborne, Napier and Hastings secondary school teams which was won by the Hastings finalists. However, Winton Holmes, Sandy Shaw, Chris Piesse and Ian Wilson (all Boys' High) did well to become the Gisborne finalists. They are pictured with Gisborne quiz-master Stuart Stubbs.

New announcer on the Radio 2ZG scene is Les Hyland. Les, whose diction and enunciation are first class, transferred to Gisborne from Auckland.

Members of the Air Force Association were entertained at their annual general meeting recently by Flight Lieutenant Bruce Donnelly, D. F. C., who spoke and showed slides on his experiences in Vietnam, and on the new Skyhawk planes. Bruce, who is the son of Mr and Mrs E. Donnelly, Ormond Road, is shown with, from left, club president Keith Tarry, Mr W. T. McKeague (a veteran pilot of the 1914-18 war), and club secretary John Hampson.
