Commanding Presence

The giant replica of Michelangelo's statue of Moses had a commanding presence over Adair's Store ground floor when it was on display there. The statue was made in Italy from the same white Carrara marble as was used by Michelangelo in his original work. The height and weight (8ft. 4ins., and 3½ tons) required the ground floor to be specially strengthened before the statue was placed in position.
