Great Start

A great start to the $6000 fund needed to restore the pioneer cottage in Stout Street was made on June 13 when $1100 was raised from the "Hike for History". This sponsored walk was organised by the Business and Professional Women's Club and about four hundred people took part. The sum raised gives a great start, and even more incentive to the restoration scheme. The cottage is a real link with the past and needs to be restored to preserve some local historical identity.
