The presidents of Jay-cee, Gisborne Lions and Round Table were guests at a Gisborne Rotary Club tea meeting recently. The four presidents are, from left, Mike Brittenden (Jay-cee), Marshall Stewart (Gisborne Rotary), Frank O'Halloran (Gisborne Lions) and John Heikell (Round Table).

Gisborne Public Relations Officer John Burland has relinquished his office, and has gone to work for a public relations firm in Wellington. Mr Burland was in office for the past seven years.

Lesley Smith, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Smith, 184 Ballance Street, has graduated B.A, from Victoria University. An old girl of Marsden College, Wellington, Lesley is furthering her studies for an honours degree.

Patricia Cole, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Cole, 776 Gladstone Road, has graduated with her Bachelor of Law degree from Auckland University. Patricia is now working for a law firm (Von Sturmer and Ramsey in Takapuna) as well as doing post-graduate work. An old girl of Gisborne Girls' High School, she is the first girl from a Gisborne secondary school to obtain her Ll.B.
