Out & About

Mr Murray Upton, local branch manager of Eric Upton and Son, in association with Beechey and Underwood Ltd., holds the control panel of the machine. Mr Brian Hastings of Napier (centre) was present as the Hawkes Bay representative of the firm, while demonstrating the machine is Miss Karen McNeill of Auckland.

Another view of the machine showing, clearly, the programme panel which controls it. Note the simplified keyboard of the machine.

Mr Peter Strombom, New Zealand sales manager of data systems of Beechey and Underwood, addressed the gathering.

This large boar was shot by these huntsmen "out the back". Not quite in the gourmet class but a good trophy just the same. Pictured are Bruce Stanbridge, Ian Findsen and Ike Find-sen. The junior member of the party is young Gavin Knight.

Ross Smith called in a few days ago and he certainly has changed since November, 1954, when he was on the cover of that issue of "Photo News" with Sir Edmund Hillary. Ross, who has been working up north, recently returned to Gisborne to live.
