About People

Gisborne Rotary Clubs had as guest speaker recently the famous B.B.C. broadcaster Sam Pollock. While in Gisborne Mr Pollock visited Dunblane Home for older folks. Many of the people there have listened to his Sunday broadcasts for the past 20 years.

Young Brendon Stichbury, aged 13 months, who won the Picton bicentenary baby contest in January, is a grandson of Mr and Mrs Colin Stichbury, 21 Dalrymple Road. Brendon's father is Mr Paul Stichbury, now of Blenheim, and he gets at least 50% of his good looks, as you can see, from his mother, a former Blenheim girl.
