Interschool Sports
Teams from the coast and outlying districts gathered at the Boys' High School sports ground to take part in the inter-school sports meet. Competitors and times were both keen in all events.
Richard Stubbings (Lytton) strides home well ahead of the field to win the senior 1600 metres.
Karen Davidson (St. Mary's) breaks the tape to win the junior 100 metres.
The senior 100 metres went to Kevin Bell of Edmund Campion.
Judges Eric Hoggins, Ray Hoggins and Brother Linus had many a close finish to contend with.
