Fast Horses . . .

. . . . even if not the ruination of man, can provide a pleasant day's outing, especially at the Poverty Bay Turf Club's course at Makaraka. Feature event of the day was the D. J. Barry Memorial Handicap. This was won in good time by the northern visitor, Miss Otakiri.
