Mosey Harvey, Gisborne's professional tennis coach, has taken delivery of this tennis machine. It is capable of delivering 40 balls in short order in a variety of shots – volley, lobs, ground shots, etc. It was made in Putaruru and Neville Coutts and Mosey Harvey (right) are shown with the machine.

Mrs G. C. Corbett, 6 Centennial Crescent, with one of the limited number of commemorative plates of the Investiture of Prince Charles as the Prince of Wales at Caernarvon Castle on July 1, 1969. The plate, which is bordered in blue and gold in the same pattern as the Royal dinnerware, was especially sent to Mrs Corbett from a friend of hers in Wales.

Greggs Ltd. held an in-store competition at the Sheepfarmers' West End Supermarket where people had to guess the number of gallons of cordial in this giant tumbler. Perched by the tumbler are hostesses Annette Coker and Janet Reilly.
