A Job Well Done

A social evening was held at Ulverstone to mark the wind-up of the Cook celebrations and the disbandment of the Cook Week Committee shortly after the celebrations ended. At the function, in a speech to mark the occasion, the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, referred in particular to the sterling work done by the secretary of the committee, Mr W. Hudson. In doing so, Mr Barker made him a presentation of a silver tray to show the committee's and the city's appreciation. They are pictured at left.
