The Big Drop

From Waikaremoana Boat Owners' Association presiaent Basil Adair we have these two pictures showing Just how dry the winter has been over the East Coast area. They were taken 24 hours apart and show that even in that short period the level of the lake has fallen. In the top picture the water is touching the end of the association's boat ramp, while in the picture below it has receded by almost a foot. The normal level of the lake is where the back of the truck is.
