League of Mothers
A social evening was held at the St. Andrew's Hall to mark the League of Mothers' fourth provincial birthday. Guest of honour at the evening was Mrs Frances Brodie, Hamilton, national president of the League of Mothers.
Mrs Brodie with local provincial officers, Mrs Margaret Beets (president), Mrs Lorraine Wood (treasurer), and Mrs Sheila Scott (secretary).
Highlight of the evening was the cutting of the cake by Mrs Brodie and Mrs Beets. Kaiti branch members entertained with a beach hat parade. They were Mesdames Sue Openshaw (below left), Dorothy Sparrow (below centre), Marion Johnson, Marie Traue, Sue Openshaw, and Heather Bunyan (below right).
