Trades Working Display

Under the direction of the principal of the Maori Carpentry Training School, Lower Hutt, a display of the trade with apprentices actually working on various stages of their course, both theoretical and practical, was held in Adairs' store. The display coincided with Maori Women's Welfare League conference and drew a steady stream of visitors during the week of its presentation. The training school is run by the Department of Maori and Island Affairs in conjunction with the Central Institute of Technology at Petone.
