Oranges And Lemons

The 29th annual conference of the New Zealand Citrus Council was hold in Gisborne this year of Cook. Large numbers of delegates attended the conference which was opened by the Mayor who was guest speaker.

At an evening dinner held at the Chalet Rendezvous presentations were made to Mr Tom Troy who, in his capacity as Horticultural Officer with the Department of Agriculture, gave eight years of outstanding service and help to local growers. Gisborne Citrus Society president George Judge (left) and Poverty Bay Fruitgrowers' Association president Harold Cutts (right) made the presentations.
